"Pete- The Pretty Panda' s Shopping Problem"

Image
Hi Friends,    How are my Pretty friends this week? I'm doing great too! For the most part. Let me fill you in on great part of my week. Then we can talk about the not-so-great part. Deal? Great! So this week started with the weekend. It was pretty fun and Amazing! I hung out with my best pal, Al the Koala. We went dancing- fun story for another time, we went back to the Best Brunch place I told you about, and we ended the weekend with a relaxing tv marathon of our favorite show. It's very funny, but real at the same time. I don't know if you've heard of it. It's called "Last Week Tonight". You should totally watch it. Al and I are addicted! Anyways, after the weekend was just mostly work and lunches and dinners with new friends. So, it was really good as well. That brings me to the not-so-great part of it. It's more like a single event that had multiple consequences and got me in big trouble.  It happened two days ago. I had just gone back from din...

"Pete- the Pretty Panda" Meets a New Friend

Image
Hola Amigos/Friends,     How have you been? I've missed you! Thank you for making last week's adventure the best yet. I'm so happy that my circle of friends are growing more and more with each adventure. I love making new friends that are as awesome and pretty as you! Speaking of new friends, guess what? Yesterday, I met a new friend and boy is she awesome. Yes, she is pretty as well. She's a Pretty Bird. Her name is Lara. She's a Lark Bird. If you don't know what a lark is, it is certainly worth a google. Larks are birds that come from the old world. They are good natured and full of innocent humour. They are one of the best kinds of pretty bird friends to have.   Lara and I actually met weeks ago. You see, as a new resident of my town, I often go to social gatherings to meet new people. Of course Al the Koala was there too. He is my best pal after all. So a couple of weeks ago, Al and I went to this social gathering in a place called Santurce. Santurce is a...

"Pete- The Pretty Panda's Best Brunch Adventure"

Image
Hola Friends,    I know it's only been a week, but it feels like it's been sooo long since my last adventure. I sure did miss you! Okay first thing's first. You may be wondering about last week's drastic makeover that didn't go so well. I am happy to say that I am back to the Pretty Panda that you know and love. No more trump hair! I learned a lot from that adventure, mainly that I need to be better at speaking Spanish ASAP. Also, I learned that worrying too much about the way you look harms you more than it helps. I mean it's okay to take pride of your appearance, but don't let it consume you. Trust me, it doesn't end well. So I say yes to taking care of yourself, but no to obsessing about it. Comprende? Good. Phew! Am I glad I finally got that off my chest. That's been bothering me since last week, which made the days drag on and on and on. It's been tough, I'm not gonna lie.    Well, actually not ALL the days were bad. Last Saturday wa...

"Pete- The Pretty Panda" -Searches for the Best Barber

Image
Hola Amigos,   That's Spanish for "Hi, Friends". Yes, I am getting better at speaking Spanish day by day. Two thumbs up! Well, actually, I am learning out of dire necessity. Let me explain. Although the lovely people here in my new home of Puerto Rico speak English, I've found that a lot of them don't or speak very little of it. It has generally been okay for me so far. I've learnt that vendors say the same things to you and I've mastered the various responses for those questions in Spanish. It wasn't until today that I realized I have been living in a house of cards. Not like an actual house of cards, although that would be so cool, but in a more "metaphoric" way. I'm not sure it's the right word, but the internet says it is, so it must be.    Anywho, my epiphany all started this morning. You see, Pandas have a lot of hair and Pretty Panda's like me need to keep good maintenance of our hair. To do that, we need a barber, but n...
