"Pete- The Pretty Panda' s Shopping Problem"

Hi Friends,
How are my Pretty friends this week? I'm doing great too! For the most part. Let me fill you in on great part of my week. Then we can talk about the not-so-great part. Deal? Great! So this week started with the weekend. It was pretty fun and Amazing! I hung out with my best pal, Al the Koala. We went dancing- fun story for another time, we went back to the Best Brunch place I told you about, and we ended the weekend with a relaxing tv marathon of our favorite show. It's very funny, but real at the same time. I don't know if you've heard of it. It's called "Last Week Tonight". You should totally watch it. Al and I are addicted! Anyways, after the weekend was just mostly work and lunches and dinners with new friends. So, it was really good as well. That brings me to the not-so-great part of it. It's more like a single event that had multiple consequences and got me in big trouble.

It happened two days ago. I had just gone back from dinner with Al and I was feeling very happy. I may have had a mimosa-like drink or two at dinner, but that's not important. What matters is that I was feeling happy. When I got to my house, I opened my computer to see what was going on in the internet world. I saw cute puppies and lots of cat videos. Boy, those cats are adorable and slightly not-so-smart. I was looking through the internet and I found an advertisement for an umbrella. It was a really, really cute umbrella. So I clicked on the ad and I was taken to this site called "amazon". Have you heard? If not, then stay away! Delete it from your memory. You will thank me later.

This "amazon" site has everything, and I mean everything. I clicked on the "add to cart" button to buy my umbrella that is just too cute. It's got a print on the inside, so when you open it, you got a cute surprise anytime it rains! Perks you right up. After I added it to the cart, I was shown tons of other also cute things that I could buy! There were cool shirts, panda designs, and food. I mean, I just didn't stand a chance. From there on, I was hypnotized. Every time I added to cart, there are more and more suggestions of other things to buy. Of course I added them to my cart too. To top it all off, amazon offered me to join their "prime" club, which means you get "free 2-day shipping" along with other goodies. They were offering that to me for FREE. Well it's only free for like a month or so, but still. I couldn't resist. I joined in and "boom", I was introduced to a new button. It wasn't "add to cart". It was even better. It said, "buy now". It was genius! Or so I thought.

Friends, I spent hours looking through all the cool and cute stuff they had for me to buy. Then, I spent more hours looking through their "deals" section, because you know I love a good deal. Hours went by like they were minutes. I didn't feel tired. I just felt happy. Even more happy than when I came home from dinner. I was on cloud nine. Until my alarm sounded off, and I saw that it was actually nine... in the morning. I had spent the entire night buying and browsing, and buying some more from "amazon". They just make it soooo easy! It's like they knew me. That was the problem, they knew me too well. Even better than I knew myself. They showed me what I needed to buy, what I wanted to buy, and managed to make me think I needed to buy what I didn't.

I am not very proud of what I've done. And for what? Happiness? I thought I was happy. I felt happy, while I was shopping there. But trust me friends, I'm not the happiest now. That night I managed to lose most of my money on things I did not need. Not only that, I owed money because I used my credit card too. It was like I went to the casino and gambled all night. It was the worst! I was the worst. Also, I was really tired that day at work. So I guess it'll be a heads up to you, my friends. If you do shop in "amazon", go ahead. But know when to stop. Luckily, "amazon" let me cancel and return almost all of the things I had bought. They said it takes 3-7 business days for my money to come back. Hopefully most of it does. Otherwise, I'll not only be a sad Panda. I'll be a broke, sad Panda. That's never a pretty sight.

I hope this helps you friends! Until next week. I'll be here eating canned beans for at least 3-7 business days. That's when I get my money back. Wish me luck!

Smiles All Around,
